Fish balls, squid balls, chicken balls and almost anything that can be processed into balls have been a delicacy for city slickers here in the Philippines for a long time...
Several entrepreneurs though have started to commercialize the traditional poor man's business of peddling fish balls and squid balls. Stalls selling these are now popping up everywhere, even in the trendiest 'elitist' malls.
I guess we are going to be hearing the 'Manong can I make tusok-tusok na the fish ball?' much more often now?
