Epixtar along with its US subsidiaries has filed for Chapter 11 with the Miami Federal Bankruptcy Court while its Philippines subsidiary filed for bankruptcy on October 7, 2005. The filing affects about 100 of the 1,700 local employees. Their local office remains open for business.
