Today marks 43 years since martial law was declared by then Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and I am saddened and surprised that a lot of millennials do not know how this impacts them.
I am hoping this infographic sheds some light including an explanation of why Martial Law is not as good as kids these days think it would be. The suspension of civil rights, the enormous debt and the record killings from that period should be enough to scare anyone from ever believing it was a "good thing."
