We love books and we love food and a lot of times when we read a page, a paragraph, or a line describing our favorite food (be it boiled potatoes from The Secret Garden or butter beer from Harry Potter), we can't help but let our imagination wonder. This then brings us back to a few years ago when a photographer decided to bring her favorite dishes to life and after a couple of years of hard work, that initial five series of photographs is now a compilation of fifty of literature's most notable dishes. Fictitious Dishes is an awesome body of work and Dinah Fried definitely brings to life some of the most memorable food that you have ever read. Pick it up over the weekend then try to replicate some of your favorite eats from your favorite reads.
